SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTALLATION FOR MASCOT PRECAST CONCRETE STORMWATER/SEWER PITS 
CONSTRUCTION
  1. Concrete shall be in accordance with the requirements of AS1480 1974 and shall exhibit the following characteristics and features.
    1. Average compressive strength of 40MPS
    2. Maximum water/cement ratio of 0.40:1 
    3. Minimum cement
    4. Reinforcement with grade Y12 deformed bar Safety Cage confirming to AS 1302 (d) requirements
  2. Concrete will be consolidated by vibrators applied to formwork.
  3. Step irons to be fitted to pits exceeding 1200mm internal depth at 300mm centres or as required by local authorities.
