Bay Run Bridge

The Bay Run Pathway and Lighting Upgrade, completed in September 2023, is a significant enhancement to Sydney’s iconic Bay Run, a popular route for walking, running, and cycling.

This project, part of the broader GreenWay initiative, aimed to improve safety, accessibility, and aesthetics along the path extending from UTS Haberfield Rowing Club to the Lilyfield Road Bridge, through Richard Murden Reserve, Leichhardt Park, and King George Park.

The $5 million upgrade was delivered by Inner West Council with funding from Transport for NSW’s Get NSW Active program and the Department of Planning and Environment.

Mascot GRC Cable Pits and GMS Covers

Integral to the lighting infrastructure were Mascot GRC Cable Pits and GMS Checkerplate Covers. These components were selected for their durability, pedestrian-friendly design, and suitability for urban environments.

  • GRC Cable Pits: Mascot GRC Cable Pits are known for their strength and lightweight properties, easing installation and reducing transport costs.
  • Integral to the lighting infrastructure were Mascot Engineering’s GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) Cable Pits and GMS (Galvanised Mild Steel) Pedestrian Covers. These components were selected for their durability, and suitability for urban environments.
  • GRC Cable Pits: Mascot GRC Cable Pits are known for their strength and lightweight properties, easing installation and reducing transport costs.
  • GMS Covers: The GMS Covers provide a robust and secure solution for access points, ensuring safety and longevity of the lighting infrastructure.

These products were also utilized in the lighting upgrade of Richard Murden Reserve’s multi-purpose courts, highlighting their effectiveness in enhancing public spaces.
