Sustainability Award: Sydney Water Recognises Mascot Engineering’s Innovative Products
Mascot Engineering is proud to have been recognised with a “Highly Commended” Sustainability Award by Sydney Water for Outstanding commitment to sustainability through innovative products, programs or best practices.
The award was presented at the 2026 Sydney Water Infrastructure Pipeline & Supply Chain Expo and specifically recognises Mascot Engineering’s OrcaGreen Polymer Concrete capability — an innovative approach to more sustainable drainage infrastructure.
OrcaGreen Polymer Concrete has been developed to significantly reduce the environmental impact of traditional polymer concrete products by incorporating high volumes of recycled materials, including recycled glass. By replacing virgin aggregates with recycled content, OrcaGreen helps divert waste from landfill while reducing reliance on natural resources.
Importantly, this sustainability benefit does not come at the expense of performance. OrcaGreen Polymer Concrete maintains the strength, durability and long service life required for demanding civil and infrastructure applications, making it suitable for use across water, drainage and major infrastructure projects.
The development of OrcaGreen reflects Mascot Engineering’s broader commitment to delivering practical, high-performance solutions that also support more sustainable project outcomes. As infrastructure projects increasingly prioritise environmental performance, solutions like OrcaGreen provide contractors and asset owners with a viable, lower-impact alternative.
This recognition from Sydney Water highlights the importance of innovation in driving more sustainable infrastructure and acknowledges the work being done across the Mascot Engineering and Orca teams.
Mascot Engineering looks forward to continuing to develop and deliver solutions that support both the performance and sustainability requirements of Australia’s infrastructure sector.
Well done to the team.
