BP Petrol Station Footscray

OrcaDrain CV200 polymer concrete drainage channels were installed as part of a renovation at the BP service station in Footscray, Victoria.

The system combined Australian-made channels with Class D ductile iron heelproof grating to suit the service station environment.

The channels featured cast-in ductile iron edge rails, providing a robust interface between the channel and grate. Anti-shunt features helped prevent grate movement under traffic, while bolt-down fixings secured the grates in place and provided added security.

Polymer concrete was selected for its strength, chemical resistance and durability. Widely specified for drainage channels, it is recognised as one of the world’s leading materials for trench drainage systems.

This project formed part of Orca’s established project history before the brand joined Mascot Engineering. OrcaDrain is now a new addition to the Mascot Engineering range, bringing proven polymer concrete drainage technology and Australian manufacturing expertise to our broader drainage offering.
