OrcaDrain at Leopold Community Centre

OrcaDrain polymer concrete drainage channels in various widths were supplied to the Leopold Community & Learning Centre in Victoria, paired with Class D ductile iron heelproof and slip-resistant grating.

The project demonstrated how different channel widths could be used while maintaining a consistent grate design. Matching grates created visual continuity throughout the site, integrating drainage into the surrounding public spaces.

The grating combined heavy-load capacity with features suited to pedestrian areas. Its heelproof, slip-resistant design addressed the demands of a busy community environment that catered for visitors of all ages, including people on bicycles, wheelchair users and families with prams.

This project formed part of Orca’s established project history before the brand joined Mascot Engineering. OrcaDrain is now a new addition to the Mascot Engineering range, bringing proven polymer concrete drainage technology and Australian manufacturing expertise to our broader drainage offering.
