Coreworx® Joint Bays Powering the Bradfield 132kV Project
Endeavour Energy’s Bradfield 132kV project represents a significant investment in Sydney’s growing energy infrastructure, ensuring future capacity for one of Australia’s fastest-developing regions.
As part of this major works package, Garde Services engaged Mascot Engineering to manufacture and supply our certified patented Coreworx® Segmented Joint Bays, a solution designed specifically to overcome the logistical and installation challenges of high-voltage underground cabling projects.
Compared to traditional single piece joint bays, the Coreworx® system by Mascot Engineering is precast in segments, delivering significant freight and installation savings. This innovation means sections can be transported more efficiently and lifted with smaller cranes, reducing costs and simplifying site logistics.
For Bradfield, coordination was key. Working in partnership with Garde Services, Mascot Engineering staged deliveries to align with the projects timing and of course the site’s crane schedule—ensuring each section was lifted directly into place upon arrival. This approach removed double handling, minimised storage requirements, and kept the project moving to plan.
The result is a streamlined installation process that highlights the benefits of the Coreworx® system and Mascot’s commitment to working alongside our clients to achieve project success.
The Bradfield project is another example of how Mascot Engineering combines innovation and reliability to deliver practical solutions for Australia’s most critical energy infrastructure.
