Located in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, Dicky Beach is a popular family holiday destination. With an increase in tourist demand the park set out to increase the number of powered campsites (and upgrade the existing) at the Dicky Beach Holiday Park. Mascot GRC cable pits where chosen by the electrical contractor for the project along with galvanised steel checkerplate covers.
Mascot GRC Pits are approximately 1/10th the weight of traditional concrete pits, reducing the freight costs from our warehouse in Brisbane for the contractor. The steel checkerplate covers offered the appropriate load rating, simple installation (they drop into the rebate of the Mascot pit) and are slip resistant.
Summer holidays by the beach is quintessentially Aussie. We think it’s appropriate that both the Mascot GRC Pits and the GMS Checkerplate covers installed on this project were manufactured here in Australia by an Australian company that the trade has relied on for over 100 years.
